Job Description:

Purpose of the role:

 

To enhance the MultiChoice brand through facilitating, coordinating and executing communications approaches, plans, campaigns and engagements in partnership with corporate affairs management, business management and company marketing teams so as to deliver on company results. Further support and improve media partnerships and consumer engagement to support overall brand engagement and enhance connection through addressing key consumer issues.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Developing customer communication including customer letters, FAQs and ensuring these are accurate by liaising with various internal divisions (CVM, Marketing, Care Teams, Legal, GE and Channel Teams)
  • Manage content on the MTF portal including the MTF Info mailbox and social media platforms
  • Research and write briefing documents
  • Keep abreast of media trends and keep media lists updated
  • Compile monthly and campaign media reports
  • Coordinate markets and manage monthly CA workshops, agendas and key market updates – this includes supporting in-country teams with ad-hoc communication requirements i.e. press releases, proof reading, academy / business requests such film festival / awards entries etc.
  • Support the Senior Communication specialist on all key ? projects and deliverables
  • Research and discovery to gain insight for new projects, brainstorming ideas and concepts to ensure creative and differentiated content.
  • Coordinate and consult with other relevant marketing and communications functions to align content plans and drive one brand message and collaboration within company and the broader business.
  • Align the communication plan to support products, launches, events and promotions
  • Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to implement marketing initiatives, through defining the target audience, various stakeholders, and appropriate messaging

 

Qualifications:

  • A B-Degree in Journalism, Communications or Media.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience specialising in communication
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role or agency experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Must have excellent writing and editing skills
  • Exceptional public speaking and presentation skill capability are an advantage
